Kia EV4 Unveiled: All-New Electric Sedan with 630 KM Range and Futuristic Tech

Kia Corporation has unveiled the full specifications of the all-new EV4, its first dedicated C-segment electric sedan. Designed to accelerate the global adoption of electric mobility, the EV4 combines a bold exterior, cutting-edge digital technologies, and segment-leading range and performance.

Bold, Sustainable Design

The Kia EV4 showcases the brand’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, resulting in a distinctive EV typology. The sedan achieves an aerodynamic drag coefficient of just 0.230 Cd, aided by sculpted lines and a full underbody cover. Recycled materials feature extensively in the body and interior components, underscoring Kia’s sustainability goals.

Key design highlights include:

  • Recycled bumpers and side garnishes (20% recycled content)
  • Advanced LED lighting across all trims
  • Optional Dynamic Welcome and Escort lighting
  • Unique floating tail lamp (non-US markets)

Spacious, Tech-Forward Interior

The EV4’s cabin focuses on productivity and relaxation. A sliding center console table, reclining Rest Mode seats, ambient lighting, and ultra-slim air vents make the interior both functional and tranquil. A unified touchscreen integrates infotainment, navigation, and climate control.

  • Front legroom: 1,154mm
  • Rear legroom: 970mm
  • Luggage capacity: 490 liters (sedan), 435 liters (hatchback)

Electric Powertrain and Performance

Built on the E-GMP platform, the EV4 is available with two battery options:

  • Standard (58.3kWh) — Range: 430 km (sedan)
  • Long Range (81.4kWh) — Range: 630 km (sedan)

All variants come with a 150kW front-wheel drive motor, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4–7.7 seconds.

Charging times:

  • DC Fast Charging (10–80%): 29–31 minutes
  • AC Charging (10–100%): 5–7.25 hours

Features include:

  • i-Pedal 3.0 regenerative braking
  • Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) support
  • Integrated Electric Booster (IEB)

Advanced Safety and Connectivity

Safety tech includes Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2), Remote Parking Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance, and a 12-inch head-up display. A hands-on detection system allows seamless ADAS control.

The Kia EV4 is now on sale in Korea and will roll out globally in the second half of 2025. Sedan and hatchback versions will be available, with trim options differing by region (Light/Wind/GT-Line in the US and Air/Earth/GT-Line in Europe).
