Switch won’t go in
Check that both metal pins are straight and aligned with the socket. If a pin is bent, gently straighten it with tweezers and try again.
Key not registering after replacement
Remove and reseat the switch, ensuring the pins are fully inserted. Then reconnect the keyboard and test again. You can also try a different switch to rule out a faulty unit.
Switch feels loose
Press down firmly until you feel a soft click. If it still feels loose, remove and reinsert the switch to ensure the clips are engaged.
Keycap is crooked
Pull the keycap off and press it back on evenly from the top, making sure it sits centered on the stem.
