Technology & Features

Spatial Bionic Sound (DIRAC)

Spatial sound is on by default. Double tap the touch ring to switch to boAt Signature Sound instead. A long tone confirms Spatial Sound is on; a short tone confirms boAt Signature Sound is on (Spatial Sound off).

BEAST™ Mode (Low Latency)

Long press the MFB for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate low-latency BEAST Mode – suitable for entertainment and casual gaming, though not intended for professional gaming equipment needs.

aptX Codec Support

Rockerz Apex supports the aptX codec for higher-quality audio streaming. Your source device must also support aptX for this to work.

cVc Technology

Clear Voice Capture (cVc) technology is used for noise cancelling and enhancing selective listening during calls.

Dual Pairing

Connect Rockerz Apex to two devices at once. Pair to the first device, turn off both the earphones and that device’s Bluetooth, pair to the second device, then re-enable the first device’s Bluetooth to have both stay connected.

Pairing & Connectivity

Initial Pairing

  1. Press & hold the MFB to switch the earphones on
  2. You’ll see a prompt as well as rapid blinking of the LED indicator
  3. Turn on Bluetooth on your device and search for ‘Rockerz Apex’
  4. Select the device from the list; enter passcode 0000 (or 1234 if prompted during reconnection troubleshooting)
  5. Once paired, the earphones are ready to play music, and will auto-reconnect when back in range with Bluetooth on

LED Indicator Guide

  • Pairing mode: Red and blue LEDs blink alternately (rapid blinking)
  • Charging: Red LED turns ON
  • Fully charged: Red LED turns OFF

Charging & Battery

How to Charge

  • Use the provided USB Type-C cable to charge the earphones and connect to a computer or wall adapter
  • Use a 5V/2A charger for correct voltage
  • Full charge takes about 50 minutes
  • Red LED turns ON while charging and turns OFF once fully charged

Troubleshooting Guide

Bluetooth Connectivity Issues

Earphones not connecting via Bluetooth
  1. Ensure Bluetooth is ON and the earphones are in pairing mode (alternating red/blue LED flashes)
  2. Confirm the device is within 10m range with no obstructions
  3. If prompted for a passcode, enter 0000 or 1234
  4. Clear the pairing list with a factory reset
  5. Check for software issues on your phone; try forgetting the device or updating mobile software
One side not working or disconnecting frequently
  1. Clear “Rockerz Apex” from your device’s pairing history first
  2. Long press the MFB and long touch the bottom of the touch sensor simultaneously for 5 seconds to clear paired device history
Dual pairing not working
  1. Pair to the first phone as per usual procedure, then switch off both the earphones and the first phone’s Bluetooth
  2. Switch the earphones back on and pair to the second phone
  3. Switch the first phone’s Bluetooth back on – the earphones should reconnect to both
  4. Try dual pairing with other devices to isolate the issue

Charging Issues

Earphones not charging
  1. Test the charging cable with another device
  2. Use only a 5V/2A wall adapter
  3. Check for dirt or debris in the charging port and clean with a cotton swab
