The boAt Aavante Bar 1580 delivers 120W RMS 2.1 channel cinema audio with a dedicated wired subwoofer, Bluetooth v5.0, HDMI (ARC), Optical audio input, 3.5mm AUX, USB playback, and multi-mode EQ presets (Movie, Music, News, 3D Surround) for an immersive home theater experience.
Connect the wired subwoofer cable firmly into the ‘SUB OUT’ port on the rear panel of the soundbar until you hear a click.
Plug an HDMI cable into the TV port labeled HDMI ARC and the other end into the soundbar. Go to TV Settings → Sound → Audio Output Format → set to PCM. Enable HDMI-CEC (also called AnyNet+, Bravia Sync, or Simplink).
Remove the protective caps from both ends of the Optical (TOSLINK) cable. Insert into TV Optical Out and soundbar OPT IN. Press OPT on the remote to select this source.
Press the BT button on the remote. The LED will flash rapidly. Search for ‘Aavante Bar 1580’ on your phone/tablet and tap to pair. The LED turns solid when connected.
Use the remote’s EQ button to cycle through Movie, Music, News, and 3D Surround presets. Use BASS +/- for subwoofer level adjustment.

1. Confirm the cable is in the port marked HDMI ARC (not a regular HDMI port).
2. Go to TV Settings → Sound → Digital Audio Output → change to PCM.
3. Enable HDMI-CEC in your TV menu (called AnyNet+/Bravia Sync/Simplink depending on your brand).
4. Power cycle both the TV and soundbar.
Enable HDMI-CEC on both the TV and soundbar. Once enabled, your TV remote’s volume buttons will directly control the Aavante Bar 1580 volume.
In TV Sound settings, change the Audio Output source from ‘TV Speaker’ to ‘Audio System / External Speaker’.
1. Check that the subwoofer cable is firmly seated in the SUB OUT port.
2. Ensure the SUB volume on the remote is not set to 0.
3. Try a different cable to rule out a faulty wire.
Press the BASS + button on the remote to boost subwoofer output. Select the Movie EQ preset for maximum bass impact.
Press the BT button on the remote. The soundbar enters pairing mode (LED flashes). Open Bluetooth on your phone, find ‘Aavante Bar 1580’ and tap to connect.
1. Keep your phone within 10 meters with no obstructions.
2. Remove old Bluetooth pairings from your phone’s saved list.
3. Power cycle the soundbar and re-pair.

The soundbar has an auto-standby feature that activates after approximately 15 minutes of no audio input. This is normal behavior to save power.
1. Replace the batteries in the remote.
2. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the soundbar IR receiver.
3. Point the remote directly at the front of the soundbar within 5 meters.
Press and hold the POWER button for 5–8 seconds until the display shows ‘—‘ or the unit restarts. All saved Bluetooth pairings will be erased.
