Troubleshooting & Support

Q: What to do if the sound is distorted/low volume/low bass/low quality? or if the sound output is muffled?

• Go to the sound settings of your phone and set the equalizer to normal/ default/ none/ 0. EQ settings navigation for top 9 popular mobile brands are as follows:
1. Vivo –
Go to i Music>press the icon at the left upper corner>select Audio effect>turn on Deep space sound effects>touch Equalizer in the bottom., then you can adjust Equalizer as you like.
Note: Equalizer is supported in Funtouch OS 4.0 and higher version and can be adjusted only with the headphone plugged in.
2. Xiaomi –
Settings > Sound & vibration > Sound effects > Graphic equalizer, You can now choose preset styles or manually adjust the equalizer to your preference.
3. Samsung –
Settings > Sounds and vibration > Sound quality and effects > Equalizer, You can now either choose from pre-set EQ options (like “Music”, “Bass”, etc.) or manually adjust the frequency bands to fine-tune the sound.
4. Realme – ​
There 3 variations for EQ settings navigation according to the different UIs as mentioned below:
A] Realme UI 6.0: Settings > System & updates > Sound > Equalizer.
B] Realme UI 5.0, 4.0, 3.0: Settings > System/Additional settings > Sound > Equalizer.
C] Realme UI 2.0: Settings > Convenience tools > Sound > Equalizer.
5. Oppo – ​
Open the main Settings app on your phone > Go to Sound & vibration or a similar menu > Look for an Equalizer or Sound Effects option > The exact path can vary depending on the phone model and Android version > Enable it and choose from presets or manually adjust the sliders for different frequency bands.
6. Apple – ​
Settings > Music > EQ
7. Motorola – ​
Go to Settings > Sound (& vibration) > Audio effects. (Or, open the Moto app and touch menu > Play > Audio effects) > Turn it On > to use only for headphones or connected devices, set the speaker equalizer to Flat.
8. Poco – ​
Settings > Sound & Vibration/ Sound > Sound Effects / Equalizer > Graphic Equalizer
9. OnePlus – ​
Settings > Sound & Vibration > Sound Quality & Effects > Audio Tuner or Audio Tuner > Equalizer Settings.
• Perform a factory reset.
• If the headphones are clogged with ear wax, simply clean the headphones to restore the original sound.
The volume of the device automatically changes
1. Check for equalizer settings on the connected device.
2. Test with different media players or devices to see if the issue persists.
The device does not power On
1. Check if the voltage of the charger is correct for the device, use only 5V 2A Chargers.
2. Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire
The in-built controls of the device are not working
1. Unpair/Forget the device and pair it again.
2. Check if the controls work when connected to a different device.
3. Check if the media player being used supports such controls.
4. Check for physical damage or exposure to hazards.
The voice assistant does not wake up
1. Check if the pairing device has the feature enabled. Google Assistant or Siri should be enabled to use this feature from your device.
2. Please follow the steps carefully, long press for 2 seconds and release, this should allow Google Assistant or Siri to pop up on the media screen of the device. Though under some circumstance, this feature may or may not work on some devices which may be restricted by default
The voice is muffled during calls / the microphone is not working
1. Try restarting the device.
2. Perform a factory reset.
3. Make sure there are no objects between your headphones and your connected device. Try moving your device closer to the headphones to see if the connection improves.
4. Look closely at the microphone hole for any dirt or earwax. If the microphone seems blocked, gently clean that area.

General FAQs

Q: How to power ON/Off the headphones?

1. Power On: In power off mode, press and hold the MFB / Power Button (Multi-function Button) for 2 seconds. A voice tone will confirm the same. The blue & red LEDs flash alternatively
2. Power Off: Press and hold the MFB for 4 seconds. The red will flash for 1 second and the device will turn off.

Q: How to factory reset the headphones?

• Long press Vol. + and Vol. – buttons simultaneously for 4 seconds. This will clear all the paired devices history from the device.

Q: How to charge the headphones?

• To charge the device, plug one end of the USB type-C cable into the device’s charge port and connect the other end to a computer or wall adapter

Q: What are the charging guidelines and norms?

1. Use a wall adapter with 5V/2A specifications.
2. Use a standard cable with 35 strands @0.10mm diameter/strand.

Q: How to connect my headphones?

1. When switched off, press and hold the multifunction button (MFB) for 3 seconds to switch the headphones on and put them into pairing mode. The headphones will automatically enter in pairing mode with a prompt; the blue and red LEDs will flash alternatively to indicate the same.
2. Open Bluetooth on your device and search for ‘Rockerz Plus 450 ANC’ in the list of available devices.
3. Once successfully connected, the headphone and phone get connected via Bluetooth indicated by slowly flashing blue LED.

Q: How to activate voice asistant?

• Triple press the MFB.

Q: How to adjust the volume?

1. Short press the Volume +/- button in steps to increase/decrease the volume.
2. There will be a ‘tone’ when the sound volume reaches its maximum.

Q: How to answer/end calls?

1. Short press the MFB once to receive an incoming call. There will be a ‘tone’ and the call will get answered.
2. Short press the MFB once to end an ongoing call. There will be a ‘tone’ and the call will get ended.

Q: How to reject a call?

• Double press the MFB in the call ring status. There will be a ‘tone’ and the call will get rejected.

Q: How to play/pause music?

• While playing music, short press the MFB Button once to play/pause the music.

Q: How to change the music tracks?

1. Next Track: Press and hold Volume + for 1 second while playing music.
2. Previous Track: Press and hold Volume – for 1 second while playing music.

Q: How to activate the BEAST™mode/ low latency?

1. Double Press the MFB to activate BEAST mode for low latency playtime.
2. Double Press the MFB again to activate music mode from BEAST mode

Q: How to activate the ANC mode?

1. Short press the ANC button to activate the ANC mode
2. Short press the ANC button to deactivate the same & switch to normal mode.
3. The cycle of operation: Ambient>ANC ON> Normal Mode (ANC OFF)

Q: What is ASAP™Charge technology?

• ASAPTM Charge is boAt’s very own patented technology. It lets your device charge at an incredible charging speed (may vary under some circumstance) where 10 mins of charging can give up to 10 hours of playback!
• It is recommended you follow the charging norms mentioned on your user manual.

Q: Does this headphone support low latency for gaming?

• Rockerz Plus 450 ANC does feature low latency for all the entertainment needs. While gaming is still subjective though because it all depends on the media device too. It is okay for casual gaming, but not professional gaming.
