Q: How to install the boAt Crest App?

• Lunar Oasis needs boAt crest app to be installed on the users’ media devices. It is available on both
• Google Play Store and Apple App Store to be downloaded and installed into the users’ devices to use
• and utilise the Lunar Oasis’s full functionality-
• Step 1: Via QR Code Scanning
• Find the QR code on the product manual of the Lunar Oasis for installing the boat Crest App on the media devices of the users.
• Open the QR Code Scanner app on the user’s devices and scan the code present on the user manual of the Lunar Oasis.
• Thereafter, follow the on-screen instructions to install the boat crest app on the user’s device.
• Step 2: Via searching the App on Google Play or Apple Play Store​
• On Google Play or Apple App Store, in the search-bar, type ‘boAt Crest’ and enter search.
• You will see the boat Crest app in the search result list.
• Click on the install button to install boat crest app on the user’s media device.

Q: How to connect the device with the App?

• First, make sure that your phone version is either on Android 7.0 and above or iOS 12 and above.
• Download the boAt Crest application, from Play Store for Android and AppStore for iOS.
• When you open the app, please allow all permissions.
• Register with your mobile number by accepting the terms and conditions.
• You will receive a verification code as an SMS. Enter the verification code in the app.
• Follow the instructions on the App and you will find Lunar Oasis smartwatch in the available device list.
• Click on the LUNAROASIS\_XXXX to pair the Lunar Oasis Smartwatch with your phone.
• This will complete the pairing process after which the Lunar Oasis smartwatch will start syncing with the app.

Q: Why does the smartwatch often disconnects from the watch?

• The operational distance for the Bluetooth is 7-10m. It is ideal that phone and watch is in direct contact with each other.
• If still the Bluetooth is disconnecting, close the app, switch off and on the Bluetooth and start the app again.
• Make sure the app is running in background always.

Q: Is the smartwatch disconnected & not connecting to the App?

• Go to the “More > Help & Feedback > Troubleshoot Connectivity” section in-app and select all the three options & tap on the troubleshoot button.
• Now go to the App home screen & the watch should connect automatically.
• Alternatively, you can click on the question mark (?) icon on the top right to access Troubleshoot Connectivity option as well & follow the rest as mentioned above.
• If the problem persists, toggle your phone Bluetooth or Close the App and Try Again.
• If this still does not work, please restart the phone and try to connect again.
• For iOS users: Please go to the Phone Bluetooth Screen and tap on the “i” icon against the watch name and forget the device and relaunch your app and there should be a pop-up message to pair the watch. Tap on the pair option.

Q: Can I use the watch out of range of my phone’s Bluetooth?

• Yes, step counting, heart rate monitoring, spO2, time can be recorded directly on your watch while your phone is not connected.
• Watch has some internal memory to record this data.
• Once you are in contact with your phone, you can sync the data to the app.

Q: Are you unable to set the watch faces from the app?

• To access watch faces from the app, users should log in to the app first

Q: What to do if the data is taking too long to sync on the app?

• To sync the data to the boAt crest app, connect the Lunar Oasis to the media device via the boat crest app and go to the app’s homepage, drag down the screen. This will start the syncing process and data will be synced to the app.
• Make sure you are in Bluetooth range and watch and ProGear app are nearby when you are syncing the data
• If the app is taking too long time to sync or it gets stuck while syncing, unbind the device with the app and reconnect.
• Note: Try to sync the data of the app at least once in every 7 days to avoid huge data to be synced in a single go and to avoid any data loss.

Q: How do I enable Bluetooth calling on Crest app?

• Turn the device’s Bluetooth on and bring your smartwatch closer to the device. If this doesn’t work check the following functionality:
• Enable Contact Sharing: Open Crest App > BT Calling > Connect your watch WAVEASTRA3\_XXXX > Enable Contact Sharing
• Enable Notifications: Open Crest app > Settings > Turn on Call Notifications

Q: How do I sync the data with the smartwatch?

• Your smartwatch’s data is automatically synced when you open the boAt Crest app. This may take a few seconds.
• For manual syncing, go to the app and click on “Tap to Sync” to trigger immediate data transfer.
• If this doesn’t work –
• Open the Crest app and keep the watch within Bluetooth range, i.e., less than 10 metres.
• Ensure the Bluetooth and GPS are enabled on your phone.
• Allow the app to run in the background.

Q: What permissions are needed for proper syncing?

• General permissions are needed on Android and iOS devices as below:
• On Android:
• Go to Settings > Apps > Crest > Permissions
• Enable permissions for Location, Contacts, Phone, and Notifications.
• On iOS:
• Go to Settings > Privacy
• Grant access to the Crest app for relevant permissions like Bluetooth and Notifications.

Q: How do I log out from the boAt Crest app?

• Open the boAt Crest app.
• Tap on your profile icon located at the top-right corner of the home screen.
• Scroll down and tap “Log Out”.
• Confirm the logout action in the pop-up prompt.

Q: What happens when I log out of the Crest app?

• Your smartwatch will be disconnected from your phone.
• The watch will stop syncing data with the app.
• You will stop receiving notifications on the watch.
• To regain access, you will need to log in again with your connected account (e.g., Google or email) and verify with a one-time password (OTP).

Q: How do I check the cricket scores using the Crest app?

• Follow the steps mentioned below to check the live cricket scores using the
• Crest app:
• Swipe up on the home screen to view live scores.
• Open the boAt Crest app and go to the “My Watch” section.
• Tap on “Sports Score”.
• Select “Enable” to activate live score updates on your watch.
• Turn on “Enable Score Push to Watch” for real-time updates.
• You can also enable “Vibration Alert” for score notifications.
• Now open Settings: Choose Cricket >> Then choose match type – T20 or ODI, and set your preferred update interval.
• Note:
• Alternatively, you can also choose a football score. Tap on “Get Score Update” to receive updates every 15 minutes.
• Enabling Vibration Alert may lead to increased battery consumption on the watch.

Q: Can I use the watch out of range of my phone’s Bluetooth?

Charging & Battery Life

Q: How to charge the smartwatch?

• Attach the magnetic end of the charging cable which comes with the watch package on the charging pad of the watch which is located on the back of the watch and connect the other end which is an USB-A end to a 5V, 2A rated power adapter or power bank or a computer.
• The Watch Lunar Oasis’s display would show the charging status and charging percentage while charging.
• Note: If the Watch Lunar Oasis is connected to a computer USB port for charging, the speed of charging would be less as the power pushed by the USB port of a computer is less than the 5V 2A rated power adapter.

Q: What to do if the smartwatch is not charging or if the battery life is low?

• Check if the charging connector behind the watch is clean and rust free.
• Try cleaning it with an alchohol swab.

Q: How to check battery charge status?

• Battery charge status is shown on the watch homepage with the percentage of the charge remaining on the watch Lunar Oasis’s battery.

Q: What are the charging norms and guidelines?

• Before using the Watch Lunar Oasis for the first time, please fully charge the smartwatch first.
• Charging through wall adapter – Specs of the adapter: 5V, 2A
• Any other accessories could be used for charging the Watch Lunar Oasis as long as the above norms are followed.

Q: How to Power On the watch?

• Long press side button of the Lunar Oasis, it would lead to turning the watch on
• Raise your wrist to wake up the screen of the watch

Q: ​How to Power Off the watch?

• While the Lunar Oasis is on, long press on the side button shut down power off option, this would lead to turning the watch off.

Display, Features & Performance

Q: Are you facing issues with the Phone Finder? Is the sound & the camera flash not working?

• Please make sure that the sound is turned to maximum on the phone (for phone ringing) and camera permission is allowed, which is required for the flashlight to work. If there is any alert slider, make sure it is set to ringing mode for sound to hear

Q: Is the time displayed on the phone and on the watch inconsistent?

• Make sure your watch is connected to your phone through the app and not your phone’s Bluetooth feature itself.

Q: How to control the screen brightness?

• Go to the Menu of the watch
• Inside the menu, select the ‘Setting’ option
• Inside the ‘Setting’ option, select ‘Brightness’ option.
• Brightness could be changed as per users required preference. There are three levels of brightness of the screen present in the Watch Lunar Oasis.

Q: How to select watch face?

• Go to settings> Tap on watch faces feature to change your watch face. Alternatively, you can long press the home screen to switch between the watch faces. There are 5 default watch faces available on the watch.

Q: How do I customize the watch face with my own image?

• Users can upload a custom watch face with images from their device. Follow the instructions to update the custom watch face mentioned below:
• Open the boAt Crest app.
• Go to the “My Watch” section.
• Here the option to “Change Watch Face” is available.
• Go to my creation and click on “Create a watch face”.
• Select a background ‘Image’ from your gallery.
• Choose the parameters you wish to add to the selected background:
• Time
• Date
• Steps
• Distance
• Calories
• Heart Rate
• Battery
• Finally, click on the “Update on the watch” to get the watch face updated.
• Note: Depending on the selected watch face’s size and resolution, this may take up to 2 minutes.

Q: How to change the watch faces on the device?

• Go to Lunar Oasis features > watch Faces. Under the Watch faces option, select the watch face you want to set on your watch & click apply.
• There are 5 default watch faces available on the watch.
• Long press on the watch home screen to view default watch faces, select add your preferred watch face.

Health, Calling & Microphone

Q: What to do if the smartwatch is not getting call or message notifications?

• Disable the battery optimization feature.
• Make sure smart reminders (call alert and message alert are enabled ) on the app are on and synced to the watch.
• Also make sure your notification center of the phone is displaying messages. Only then will your smartwatch also display those notifications.
• Even if the notifications are not coming, switch off your phone’s Bluetooth and again switch on OR restart your phone
• Try uninstalling and installing the boAt Crest app, allow all the permissions except for battery optimization and then start binding process with the watch.
• Reset the watch and check if the function is working or not.

Q: I am not able to see the sleep data on the watch?

• Short press side button-> sleep -> view sleep record.
• To see the detailed sleep pattern, sync your watch with the app

Q: Are you not able to record sleep data? Does it get recorded incorrectly?

• Make sure you wear the watch while sleeping to track the sleep data.
• Measure your night sleep automatically. Sleep duration and classification details (Deep, light, REM, Awake) are available on the watch and the app.
• Sleep will not be recorded if you have less than 3 hours
• Sync the watch with the app in the morning to view sleep data
• Note: Data might not be recorded correctly if a lot of movement is noticed between 6-8 AM

Q: What to do if the heart rate monitor is not taking the reading well?

• Check if the user has hair, tattoo, skin complexion, scaring, wearing the watch too lose or too tight might affect the readings.
• Check if the heart rate sensor which is there on the bottom of the watch is glowing in green or not. If the sensor is working properly the sensor should glow in green colour.
• Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire and liquid.​

Q: Why is the Heart rate and SpO2 not showing accurate data?

• SpO2 and Heart Rate monitoring is only for the reference, data may not match with the medical equipment. This watch is not a medical grade equipment.

Q: Why does the watch show the step count even when I am not walking?

• Your watch is tracking the movement if your wrist so if you are doing something that requires a lot of hand movement then step count can be affected.
• Ensure that your app and the watch are synchronized.

Q: How to track the heart rate?

• From the watch home screen,> Swipe right to reach the ‘Heart Rate’ icon >> Tap on Heart Rate >> Your HR measurement will get started, stay still while HR measurement is in progress, and you can see the HR value on the screen.

Q: How to dial any number to call?

• Go to call option in the main menu> click on dialer > Use a dialer to dial any number from the watch.

Q: How to make and SOS (emergency) call?

• Rotate the side button to navigate through the main menu and long-press the side button to make an SOS call.

Q: How do I add someone as a Fitness Buddy?

• To add a fitness buddy:
• Open the Crest App
• Go to My Buddies
• Tap on Add Buddies
• Select a contact from your list
• An invite will be sent automatically
• Once they accept, they’ll be added to your Fitness Buddies list.

Q: How do I remove a Fitness Buddy?

• Go to My Buddies
• Tap on the name of the person you want to remove
• Select Remove Buddy
• They will be removed from your buddy list and won’t have access to your fitness updates.

Device Troubleshooting & FAQs

Q: Is the watch not powering On?

• Check if after long pressing the MFB, the watch is switching on or not. Flicking the wrist is enabling waking up the watch display or not.
• Check to charge the watch fully with the magnetic charging cable supplied with it via 5V 2A charging adapter or via a power bank or via a computer.
• Try cleaning the charging pins at the back panel of the watch as well as on the charging cable. Now plug in the charger and check if the watch has powered On.

Q: Is the lift up gesture not responding?

• We have designed the watch so that the display is active on a slight flick of the wrist.
• The tracker may take a second or two to light up the screen.
• Check if the device was not subject to any mishandling, broken wires or exposed to direct sunlight or hazards like fire and liquid.

Q: Are you not able to control music from your watch?

• Open the music player on your phone, select a song which you want to play, and control from music (play/pause/next/previous/volume up down)
• Note 1: Make sure you enable music control from the app first
• Note 2: Make sure the watch is connected to the app

Q: Why is the auto brightness not working?

• Make sure you have enabled auto brightness from the watch or the app.
• Auto brightness will only work according to time set on the app.

Q: How to access the main menu?

• Short press the side button from the home screen would lead to opening the menu.

Q: What are the different modes / options available on the watch? How to access them?

• While the user is inside the menu, tapping the several icons would lead to entering the different modes on the Lunar Oasis.
• There are following mode options on the menu of the Lunar Oasis-
• Sport – For tracking the exercises done by the users.
• Heart Rate – For measuring the heart rate of the users.
• Blood Oxygen – For Measuring the saturation level of oxygen (spO2) in the user’s blood
• Guided Breathing Mode – For breathing exercise of the users
• Alarm – To set up alarm for the users
• Music Control – To control the music from the watch when the users are listening to music (Note: This feature might not work for some of the music apps with different control protocols)
• Timer – To set up timer for the users when in need
• Settings – To enter the settings of the watch
• Navigation- Tap on this to start navigating your route.

Q: How to track the exercises through sports mode?

• There are multiple sports modes available in the watch like Walking, treadmill, Running, Badminton, Football, Basketball, Tennis, Yoga, Dancing, Cycling, Indoor Cycling, etc.
• You can also add or replace the activities according to your preference. There are more than 700+ activity modes
• Select any one of the exercises before starting that exercise.
• Short press the side button or swipe right to pause or stop the activity

Q: How to measure the blood oxygen level?

• You can measure it on the watch. A user can view the details on the app
• Swipe left from the watch home screen >> Go to SPO2>> Tap measure.
• Post your measurement, please sync the SPO2 values to your boAt Crest app.

Q: How to access breathe mode for breathing exercises?

• This feature will allow users to monitor and rate the quality of breathing.
• Click on the breath exercises icon to regulate your breathing by doing breathing exercises. You can set the time of exercise.
• It is a feature available on the watch where users can use it to do breathing exercises.

Q: How to control the music?

• Inside the menu, click on the ‘Music Control’ icon on the watch to enter the music control feature
• While listening to music users can play, Pause, move back to previous track, jump forward to next track and control the volume of the music.
• Note: This feature might not work for some of the music apps with different control protocols.

Q: How to access camera control mode?

• Inside the menu, click on the ‘Camera’ icon on the watch to access remote camera on the Lunar Oasis Watch
• Click again on the camera icon to open the camera app on the media device

Q: How to access the shortcut menu?

• Right or left swipe on the home page would lead to shortcut menu
• There are 13 functions in the shortcut menu- navigation, QR Tray, Sports score, Camera control, Music control, weather, activities, breath exercise, sleep, stress, SpO2, steps, and Heart Rate. Alternatively, you can swipe right to go back to previous tab

Q: How to check the notifications?

• Swipe up on the home screen of the watch to review the notifications of the connected media device.

Q: How to add an emergency contact in the watch?

• Rotate the side button to navigate through the main menu and long-press the side button to make an SOS call. Follow these steps to activate the SOS feature:
• Open the boAt Crest app on your device.
• Navigate to the “Home Dashboard.”
• Locate the “Top Features” section on the dashboard.
• In the “Top Features,” you will find the “SOS” feature. Click on it to access the SOS functionality.
• To initiate an SOS call, perform a long press on the side button of your smartwatch.
• Note: You can add an emergency contact through the boAt Crest app

Q: How can I add QR code in the smartwatch?

• Tap on QR code feature to access the QR of different applications. You can transfer the QR code of metro ticket/pass, bus pass, UPI, social apps, and more into the smartwatch by adding the QR code in the boAt crest app. To add the QR code follow these steps:
• Click on “QR Tray” option in the boAt Crest app.
• To add a QR code, capture a screenshot of the QR code of the app you want to include.
• After this, you’ll be able to find a collection of QR codes in the smartwatch under the QR Tray feature. Select the QR code you want to be scanned.

Q: How do I set the daily workout target?

• Open the ‘boAt Crest’ app and you will find “More” on the lower right-hand side on the homepage of the app.
• Click on it and go to Settings-> My goals.
• Tap on the Steps Goal option. You can set your daily step targets in StepsGoals.
• Note: The steps can also be modified later according to your convenience.

Q: How to add family members using Wellness Crew?

• To add someone to your Wellness Crew:
• Open the Crest App
• Scroll down to navigate Wellness Crew option on the App Home Dashboard
• Tap Add Friends & Family
• Select Add Contact
• Accept the Terms & Conditions to share your health data
• Send an invite via your preferred chat platform (e.g., WhatsApp, SMS)
• Once your contact accepts the request, they will be added to your Wellness Crew automatically.

Q: Can I remove someone from my Wellness Crew?

• Go to Wellness Crew > Select Member > Delete. The person will no longer be able to view your health data once removed.

Q: What are the QR Tray features in my smartwatch?

• You can transfer the QR code of metro ticket/pass, bus pass, UPI, social apps, and more into the smartwatch by adding the QR code in the boAt crest app. To add the QR code follow these steps:
• Click on “QR Tray” option in the boAt Crest app.
• To add a QR code, capture a screenshot of the QR code of the app you want to include.
• After this, you’ll be able to find a collection of QR codes in the smartwatch under the QR Tray feature. Select the QR code you want to be scanned

Q: How do I update the UPI payment QR code on my watch?

• Go to “Settings” from the main menu and click on “Watch Features”.
• Click on the “QR Tray” option to upload a QR code.
• Upload the QR code from your phone.
• Select any one from these categories: Payment/Movie/Others.
• Enter the name of the QR code at “Name this QR code”.
• Click on “Save & Push to Watch”.
• The QR code will appear on your smartwatch.
• Swipe left on the home screen to view the QR code on the watch.
• Note: Double tap the watch screen to change the brightness level in case the QR code scanner doesn’t work.

• Yes. Wave Astra 3 does have a camera control feature.

Q: What is Wellness Crew?

• Wellness Crew feature lets you add friends and family as your personal wellness crew. It allows everyone in the group to view basic health stats—like steps and calories burnt—helping you stay motivated towards your fitness goal.

Q: There are green and red lights blinking on the bottom side of the watch. What are those for?

• The green lights are used to monitor your heart rate.
• There is an optical sensor that detects the passage of the blood and then estimates the heart rate based on that information. Red light is the blood oxygen sensor.

• This feature will allow users to monitor and rate the quality of breathing. Breath exercise (Inhale/Exhale pattern) on the watch for selected duration and rhythm

• Yes, users can set the background image to any selected watch face from the app.

Q: How can I use the Turn- by- turn feature on the smartwatch?

• Short press the side button to go to main menu>Go to Apps> Tap on navigation feature. Follow the steps to use this feature:
• Search your desired destination on the boAt Crest app.
• Then send navigation instructions to your boAt smartwatch by clicking on get directions.
• After clicking on it choose the navigate on watch option.
• Then follow step-by-step instructions on your smartwatch to reach your destination. Note: The navigation is not shown in maps instead it is shown by direction arrows. You can access the last alert from the watch navigation menu or by swiping left from the home screen.
• To avoid receiving notifications on our smartwatch during navigation enable DND mode.

Q: What is the stress mode on the watch?

• Your stress can be recorded according to the heart rate variability.
• 1-29 % relax; 30-59% normal; 60-79% medium; 80-99% high.

• Yes, users can set individual goals for every sports mode.
