Crucial Rule: Never attempt to pair the watch directly via your phone’s native Bluetooth settings menu. It must be paired exclusively inside the boAt Wave App.

1. Download and install the boAt Wave App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store (requires Android 6.0+ or iOS 13.0+).
2. Turn ON the Watch Xtend RTL by holding the right-side physical button for 3 seconds.
3. Open the boAt Wave App, grant all requested permissions (Bluetooth, Location, and Notification access), and tap ‘Start Setup’.
4. Tap ‘Add Device’ and select ‘Watch Xtend RTL’ from the discovered device list.
5. A prompt will appear on your watch screen — tap ‘Yes / Confirm’ to complete the binding.

• Background App Activity: Ensure the boAt Wave App is locked in your phone’s recent apps menu and battery optimization is disabled so Android/iOS doesn’t kill the app in the background.
• Range & Interference: Keep the watch within 7–10 meters of the phone with no heavy physical obstructions or strong Wi-Fi router interference in between.
• Bluetooth Reset: Turn off your phone’s Bluetooth, restart the boAt Wave App, and toggle Bluetooth back ON.
• Re-binding: If binding is stuck, restart both your smartphone and the watch, clear the boAt Wave app cache, and initiate pairing again.

Attach the magnetic charging pins to the contact pads located on the rear of the watch casing. Connect the USB-A end to a standard 5V / 2A wall adapter or power bank. Full charging takes approximately 2 hours. Avoid using high-voltage turbo chargers (9V/12V) as they may damage the battery.

Note: If the watch refuses to charge, clean the gold charging contacts on the back with a dry cotton swab or mild alcohol wipe to remove sweat and residue.

• Swipe Left: Opens the full applications and features menu.

• Long Press Home Screen: Quickly switch between installed watch faces.

Yes. The Watch Xtend RTL features a 5ATM waterproof rating, making it water-resistant up to 50 meters in depth. It is perfectly safe for swimming in pools, showering, hand-washing, and rain. It should not be exposed to hot saunas, steam baths, or high-velocity deep-sea diving.
