What is Serialization of a boAt Product?

Serialization is the assignment of a unique serial number to each of our product units. This identity can be assigned by affixing a unique code on each product item, mostly in the form of a QR code.

Serial Number Format: Our products usually have an 11-digit alphanumeric serial number.

Why Are Products Serialized?

The serial number serves as a unique identifier for each product which associates our consumer (Name, contact, etc.) with the ID of the product purchased.

Future Benefits of Product Serialization

Note: We have recently started serializing our products. Currently, 100% of our products are NOT serialized. There will be genuine boAt products in the market which are not serialized. Below are the future benefits of product serialization:

Imitation of good quality products is very common and poses a problem to many consumers. Serial numbers will serve as a guarantee of genuine products in the future, helping you verify that the product you bought is authentic.

2. Quick Access to Product Information

In the future, we will link serial numbers to all essential information about the product. You will be able to check all information regarding your product through the number, including:

• Model name
• Specifications
• Troubleshooting instructions
• Warranty coverage details

3. Enhanced Customer Service

We are working on creating a system where if you need assistance with your device, you can connect with us and share the serial number of your product. With just one data point, we will be able to provide detailed assistance for product troubleshooting and warranty claims.

Where Do I Find the Serial Number of My Product?

You can easily locate the serial numbers across our serialized product models on the product boxes as well as on the physical products. Below are product-specific guides:

1. Airdopes (Wireless Earbuds)

On the Product:

The serial number (QR code) for Airdopes is generally located inside the charging case’s lid:

2. Neckbands

On the Product:

All neckbands have a QR code tag attached to them. You can scan this QR code to know your serial number:

3. Smart Watches

On the Product:

The serial number in all smart watches is located on the back panel of the device:

4. Stone Speakers (Bluetooth Speakers)

On the Product:

For both small and large Bluetooth speakers, the serial number is mostly located beside the charging slot:
